About the Area

About Blairsville and Union County

As a native Floridian born and raised in South Florida and later moving to Sebastian, FL, I have enjoyed an active life style surfing, fishing, diving for lobster, clamming, boating etc....It took a pretty special place with an abundance of natural beauty and activities to take my family and I away from that lifestyle.

Blairsville and Union County boast some of the most beautiful waterfalls plus hiking trails, the tallest mountain in GA and so much more. Some of the activities people enjoy in the area are hiking, lake fishing, creek & stream (trout) fishing, four-wheeling, hunting etc.

We are centrally located in the mountains which makes this area a nice hub or base for those that like to travel and see different sites and attractions. Located less than 2 hours from Atlanta, GA, Asheville, NC, Chattanooga, TN, and Greenville, SC. there is no limit as to where you can go and what you can see all in a days time.

Blairsville and the surrounding area are the perfect place to experience all the natural beauty that the NE Georgia mountains have to offer.
